Sandra Kavanaugh
Executive Director
Sandy Kavanaugh serves as the executive director for the Ponte Vedra Chamber and Visitors Center. She is a longtime beaches resident with extensive experience in business partnerships, nonprofit organizations and special events.
Sandy has more than 25 years of experience in sports marketing and management. During her career, she has served as the director of public relations, marketing and media and also as an account executive for the Bausch & Lomb Championships, later named the MPS Group Championships.
The Bausch & Lomb Championships, considered a premiere women’s tennis tournament, was the third-longest running event held at the same venue on the worldwide Sony Ericsson WTA Tour. The event had a 29 year history at Amelia Island Plantation before it moved to the Sawgrass Country Club in Ponte Vedra, where after two years the event concluded.
A staff member since the early years of the tournament’s inception, Sandy was instrumental in the tournament’s fame and success as a fixture in North Florida.
Sandy specializes in strategic partnerships and development for nonprofits and businesses. At the Ponte Vedra Chamber and Visitors Center, she will be responsible for maximizing member benefit and helping guide the business community in our growing community.
She is a native of Jacksonville and a longtime beaches resident. Sandy and her husband Bill, a small business owner and entrepreneur, have three daughters and two son-in-laws. In 2011, they celebrated the birth of their first granddaughter.

Melissa Landoll
Membership Sales and Service Manager
Melissa Landoll has joined the staff of the Ponte Vedra Beach Chamber as Membership Sales and Service Manager. She will be responsible for communication with our existing membership as well as recruiting and mentoring new members as well as securing Chamber event sponsors. Melissa was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina and moved to the Jacksonville area when she was three. She graduated from Orange Park High School and has a Bachelors Degree in Communications from the University of North Florida.
She began her career as an Educational Recruiter for Remington College in Jacksonville. After that, Melissa joined the staff of ITT-Technical Institute where she was Admissions Representative then was promoted to Community Relations Specialist. She was chosen to be the Southeast District Chair at ITT-Technical Institute where she trained new Community Relations Specialists throughout the Southeast District. Melissa has received awards such as Employee of the Month and awards for achieving a perfect score on her pharmaceutical sales certification exams.
She left ITT in 2010 and went to work for Arbor Pharmaceuticals as a Territory Sales Manager. In this capacity, she traveled all over north Florida from the Gulf Coast to the Atlantic Coast. She received a perfect score on drug certification exam. Because the travel kept her away from her young family, she left the company in 2011 and had been working part-time since then.
Lucia Miller
Tourism Coordinator
Lucia Miller joined the Ponte Vedra Chamber and Visitor’s Center in August 2012 and currently serves as its chamber & tourism coordinator.
Lucia is the face of the chamber for both businesses and visitors. She also oversees the center, serves as office administrator and assists with member services and special events. She also manages the chamber’s social media and the member newsletter, Chamber Chat.
Before joining the Ponte Vedra Chamber, Lucia was an intern at Digital Video Arts, one of the area’s leading video production companies. She interned at advertising and marketing agency Client Focused Media in downtown Jacksonville and has been a longtime staff member at the Casa Marina Hotel and Restaurant in Jacksonville Beach. At Casa Marina, she worked as a server but also created and maintained the company’s Facebook page.
Lucia is a native of Slovakia and became a U.S. citizen in January 2012.
She is a graduate of the University of North Florida with a bachelor’s degree in communications and she is also a proud Fletcher High School alumni. Lucia currently lives in Neptune Beach with her husband Max.
